| There are different requirements
and guidelines for each type of content. Copyrighted downloads and
torrents need to be
submitted on the forum.
|
| These are the only types of cheats
that are accepted:
- Codes: These are normally pushbutton codes or entered into a
console. They may range from getting an item to invincibility.
- Easter Eggs: Hidden bonuses or occurrences that are added
into games as a joke normally.
- Exploit: A trick or glitch that allows you to do something
the game developers never attended (item duplication, playing a NPCs,
etc.)
- Passwords: Level entry or cheat passwords that need to be
entered into password entry screen.
- Secrets: In game tricks that are not obvious when playing the
game.
- Unlockables: How to unlock certain characters, weapons,
items, etc.
Try to keep these as accurate and detailed as possible. Use proper
formatting for paragraphs to break apart your contribution so that it is
easier to read and avoid run-on sentences. It is requested that you
spell-check your work before submitting.
Don't submit something in all caps! Keep swearing to a minimal.
Any racial or obscene comments are not allowed!
|
| Only submit only for what you have
played. Secondhand information is often incorrect or changed. Getting
wrong information is not just annoying but extremely frustrating.
Choose what you are submitting. This site accepts the following:
- Character Guides: A guide for a certain player or type of
player such as moves, tips and walkthroughs if different than other
characters in the game.
- General Tips: Any type of factual information that will help
someone play the game.
- Walkthroughs: This can a complete guide of how to beat the
game, or just a certain section like a level or boss.
- Almost anything else that contains factual information will be
accepted like lists of enemies, plot summaries, secrets, and
translations for examples.
The description needs to have the name of the game as well as the
system the game is for. If it is for multiple systems, make sure what you
are contributing is relevant to all versions. If you don't know, just name
the one system you are sure of.
The content section is for the guide itself. If you want, you can
upload the guide instead and paste the download link in the content
section.
The guide itself requires the following:
- Proper Style and Formatting. Layout and punctuation is key.
Use proper formatting for paragraphs to break apart your guide so that it is
easier to read and avoid run-on sentences. It is requested that you
spell-check your work before submitting.
Don't submit something in all caps!
- Originality. Original work only please. Plagiarism is not
accepted. If you are submitting something from another source, be sure
to include the source in your contribution.
- Proper Language. Even though many people have incorporated
swearing and slang into their daily lifestyle, it isn't welcomed by
everyone. Please try to keep them to a minimal. Any racial or obscene
comments are not allowed!
- Ownership. No anonymous submissions. You can use a nickname
or handle if you don't want to use your real name. Email addresses must
be valid. If an email is found to be invalid, the content may be
removed.
- Quality of Content. Provide the most comprehensive
information you can. It is frustrating trying to follow information that
is not clearly expressed. It needs to be helpful to those who read it.
If you have never made a guide before, it is good to learn by example.
Read the others that have been submitted and reproduce their quality in
your own work. Also be sure to proof-read your work to cut down on errors. |
