The Wall
By Tom Stanley

Sometimes its easier to lie a lie
Than accept the truth into your heart.
But the little lies we tell ourselves,
Only feed the demons that we hide within.
Deep in our very core,
Never more than when pain unfolds,
Feeding love to our waiting minds,
Hoping for sunny days.
Don't let your demons tear down what you build,
Build so high and proud.
A thing never to be confused
With the love we all seek.
Lies are the wall,
Behind which the demons dwell.
Truth tears down these barriers,
And sends them straight to hell.
