Burdens
By Tom Stanley

Everybody feels the burdens of the life we choose for ourselves.
The choices we make determine the fate of so many around us
That it is pointless to worry about the things we cannot control.
But that loss of control is the thing, isn't it?
Humans just can't let the world go merrily on it's way even for one second.
We are so impatient that we place our burdens on others,
Take the weight off our shoulders,
Our backs and drop it on the head of the world.
So if people would only look both ways before dry screwing the planet's collective ass,
We could see the natural beauty of this world of ours for what it truly is.
A boundless wonder and something priceless.
Few, however, will ever see this,
As their head is buried firmly in the sand,
Just letting life pass them by.
The only thing that you should let pass you by,
Is that idiot doing 140 on the highway,
An accident waiting to happen.
Have pity on those who fail to see the light.
Do not hate or fear them for their darkend vision,
Simply do your part to make the world a better place.
