They say I’m too delicate fight, why am I here?
They say I should take flight, be full of fear.
Why can’t they see what I truly am, what I can truly be?
I am Princess Peach, this is a fighter, this is me.

I was raised to accept the throne.
It was up to me to enter this tournament, me, and me alone.
I can fight now, I am not the princess you once knew.
I saw what I could be, and I fought, I flew.

I thrust my hip and it explodes, debris raining down.
I pull a vegetable from the ground and throw, then bash you with my crown.
Who are you to say I can’t fight, can’t glide.
My umbrella pierces your skin, what you though as a rough hide.

I am Princess Peach, this is a fighter, this is me.
I am Princess Peach, Queen of Mushroom Kingdom…to be.
You say I am only good for rule and for grace.
But I assume you have reconsidered that, after I knocked you on your face.

An enemy comes at me, sword at the ready.
Waiting for the moment, I hold Toad steady.
He slashes, I release!
A cloud of spores blasts out in a wreath.
Of Pain and of Poison, you have both.
I am Princess Peach, with an oath.

I can fight, I can glide.
I can attack, I can defeat.
Princess Peach knows how to ride.
The train of pain you will soon feel, right down to the pressure of my crimson heel.

You are sent flying, out of the ring.
Such an easy enemy, a bird with a wounded wing.
I hear the roar of the crowd, the thrill of it all!
The announcer yells out, “Princess Peach wins! Mario, takes the fall!”

It hits me so suddenly, everything there.
I struck you down so quickly, the only man of which I care.
Who have I become, insane, a beast?
Your eyes are open--that, anyways--soothes me at least.
With spheres of azure you say softly to me,

“Princess Peach, defeater of me, Queen of Mushroom Kingdom…to be.”
