Yes, they've made yet another LOTR game. I played this one when I was staying with my cousin for a while (he has a way better computer than me). I can say it was fun but I can't say I want my own copy. NB I've only finished this game using the good side so my writing style is kind of biased that way.

Graphics: 9/10
Excellent. Beats Empire Earth and Warcraft 3 any day! The battles are bloody and realistic looking. The map is detailed. Basically its all great.. the drawback is that with greatness comes slowness especially when there's 200 on 200 worth of greatness.

Sound: 6/10
You get your typical LOTR soundtrack (trumpets and drums and pipes and that stuff) with a bunch of movie quote voiceovers. Very repetitive although they did a good job on the voice acting lol. But my favourite sound effect would have to be the cavalry trampling over units.. that is definitely funny.

Gameplay: 5/10
Now... I can sense any fan of this game ready to jump down my throat after seeing that 5 there, give me a chance to explain why.
The gameplay is typical RTS fun. Unlike AoE or EE you cant just build anywhere. hell you don't even get peasants or anything! you set up a camp which brings up 'foundations' places where you can choose what to build i.e. barracks archery range, farms etc. moving on you can find new camps or outposts to get more foundations to build on. Your units often come in 5's or 10's and your heroes individually. heroes have their own set of skills and powers. you can choose to be good forces or evil forces. not much else to it... now for the bad thing in this game
REPETITIVITY!! The first lot of missions are different but then you get to doing basically the same thing over and over. Move army here enter scenario. build up army (with additions from last scenario) scout area, kill bad guys. If I was playing command and conquer I would have to first rescue this hero here.. manage to drag him back to here then reinforcements would come in and goody! now I can kill them. You have a bunch of secondary objectives but nothing really spectacular.

Replayability: 9/10
Of course being an RTS you will want to play it over and over (and online if that's a possibility). But minus one point because of campaign choices.

Overall: 6.5/10 Go for Warcraft 3 or Empire Earth or even AoE2 over this. It's not bad but you can live without playing it
