Moving onto the Expansion for this game, things only get better. Throne of Bhaal (not to be confused with Baal from Diablo 2) includes a whole new 5 chapters, new features, spells and more! Read on to find out what
Storyline: 10/10
Moving on directly from Shadows of Amn, your character now finds himself on a new and final quest. You will meet up with old friends and enemies and a big surprise NPC (not telling who!). You even have your own 'pocket plane' which is where you go to change NPC's, build artifacts from pieces and discover more about yourself. A new set of enemies to face including one VERY surprise one.
Gameplay: 10/10
Still the same basic controls and stuff. HOWEVER like I mentioned before. A new
repertoire of spells at your command, including one made for a new class, the wild mage. A new feature is included too. When you hold down tab, it shows you all the doors, items and
searchable highlighted. And if you install ToB and play the SoA section these effects remain.
Sound: 9/10
Again the music is repetitive BUT! There is much, much more of it now. And the voice acting has increased significantly. Now you will wet yourself at Cespenar, your Pocket Plane's butler and "Recipe Maker". And all your old NPC's have new sayings now so you aren't getting tired with the old ones from SoA.
Replayability: 9/10
Because it's only 5 chapters compared to SoA's 7, its a much shorter game and replays will seem more repetitive. You can still choose from a variety of character creations or use your saved character from SoA. Although if you start a new character you also start with a lot of goodies you may have missed in the first game!
Overall: 10/10 Better than the first in my opinion |
