All though I've been a long time gamer, this was the first Square Enix game I have ever played. After a few years of playing this game, and its predecessor, Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1), I was ready to make a valid opinion.

First of all, the introductory movie was so long! I mean, this is a GBA game, but 20 minutes is not a good time for a player to learn the introductory story here.
Gameplay itself is quite easy, and oddly enough, the game gets much easier as it nears the final end. In fact the easy difficulty setting in the game is one of its faults.
Basically, it is a tactics game in the vein of Final Fantasy, as the game uses Final Fantasy X's turn system to determine a unit's Active Turn.
The equipment system is quite basic, as the player has five slots to place equipment, unlike FFT's slot system, where items have to be placed in five predetermined slots. But the equipment system needs fixing since it is too easy to get lost in the armory.
Unit themselves are a bit unbalanced at times, since only humans are the most useful due to their versatility, and moglis are quite useless due to their poor stats.

After looking past these simple faults, players will find themselves immersed in its addicting gameplay, hunting for more items. In fact item hunting is quite easy since the steal system is too simplified with ridiculously high probabilities.

I would rate this game 9 out of 10, due to its extremely easy setting.

Note: If you played Tactics before this you will surely miss some features, like the MOVE-FIND ITEM feature. And the weapon glitch, as well as the JP system.
