Yes! The Wii exclusive First person shooter has been out for a while, but....is it any good....?
Well....

PLOT! 5/10
Now I usually don't bother giving first person shooter games a second thought when it comes down to plot (Although they DO help) but I feel it is necessary to rate it.

Basically, you and your Fiancee are going out to dinner, she just so happens to be the daughter of a great Yakuza leader, and you happen to be her bodyguard. of course, some douche had to come and ruin it by popping holes into everyone via Uzi. Naturally, the girl gets kidnapped, and daddy gets hurt. What else is the hero gonna do? Pop everyone full of holes to try and get his girlfriend back.
Now why a 5? Well first of all, that plot is pretty boring if you ask me, and second, its like Ubisoft made EVERY effort possible to make the characters as boring as possible.
No character has any real personality, or any reason to like them, hell the girlfriend that you're supposed to save has the personality of a cardboard box.

GRAPHICS 7/10

Now the graphics arent bad.....for last gen! (Buuuurrrrrned!) Everything is in order, My only gripes are the fact that this looks like a gamecube game, and the cutscenes are laughable at best...Lets just say....
THEY'RE DONE IN FLASH!? Yes....every cutscene looks like it was done in Macromedia flash....no joke....
Besides that, the ingame graphics are nice but nothing really special.

SOUND 7/10
While most of the sound effects are pretty good, lets just say the voiceovers and music are AWFUL.
The voice overs have the worst americans trying to sound like japanese people trying to talk american. (The girl in the dojo comes to mind every time I think about it.) And whatever doesn't sound bad, just sounds boring.
The music isn't really bad, but again, nothing special, you have random guitar riffs and when a sword fight comes you hear a series of drums. Everynow and then, you hear some singing in japanese, not really much to put an effort in listening to.

GAMEPLAY 8/10
I leave the best for last!
Now, shooting and so forth are pretty good, you move with the anlog stick on the nunchuck, and point with the Wii mote.
Turning, however slow it may be, works very well, if you turn the pointer to the side of the screen to turn, its works a lot like standard FPS.
Although you can now shoot 'gansta style' (Tilted sideways) but thats pretty pointless....
Grenades can be thrown either overhead, or underhand, which is VERY useful at some points.
Now the sword fights....are just annoying....
You can only swing in 8 directions, and you can't stab. There is also a heavy lag where it takes a while for it to register the move....not that it matters much, it all might as well been one button to attack.
Most battles involve Blocking, dodging, and hitting, no real tactic, no dramatic sword duels....

Overall 5/10

Now 5/10 isn't bad, its just not very good, many things in this game could have been fixed if they put more effort into it,but it feels very lacking and very average.

Its not a bad game to try out your shamncy new Wii with, but don't expect a Halo killer or anything....
