Pokémon Gold is a good game. Stellar Rpg; see why...

Storyline: 10/10

It is pretty good, actually. You begin as a boy, who you name, then you go to get your starter Pok
émon. Your choices are Cyndaquil, Chikorita, and Totodile. Strange names, yes but they are very good either way. You also begin to learn of the elements in this world, making you plan out what move to use next. After you get one, you head out to get badges. There are 16 in all. However, it's not so easy. You have to level up your Pokémon, and also catch more to get more allies. Even doing so, you have to go through many tough things to get to a city, then battle a hard gym Leader. Joy for the player. Also, you run into an enemy called Team Rocket, making the game even more in depth. More and more pieces of the story fall into place as the player gets more and more into the game. If I described much more, I would spoil it, so I won't.

Graphics: 10/10

Quite good for Game Boy Color. Similar to Dragon Warrior III. Not blocky, good animation too. The color in this was put in well. Also, the attacks don't look bad either. The beginning movie is a rare thing to see nowadays, because the graphics were clearer, and lo and behold, rounded! This was big improvement from the regular Game Boy. The color was good, and even on the Game Boy, the graphics stayed clear. This also contributed to the graphics of the Game Boy Color, helping it increase its picture and animation even more.

Music: 10/10

Catchy tunes is all you need. Once you get a radio for this one tool you get. You can listen to some tunes, including one only available in the Unknown ruins. The music is pretty good and can get the player into the feel of the game, like what the trainer is going through when they battle a wild Pok
émon, or when they are in a house. The music was composed so it fit the game and was really put together well.

Overall: 10/10

I think I've proved my point. This is another hard game to find now, but it was quite popular when it first came out. Look for it; you might like it. Even for Nintendo fans who don't like Pok
émon, at least try this. It may change your mind.
