Super Monkey Ball
Gamecube
Puzzle/Labrynth
Difficulty: Gets very hard
Score: 10/10
It was 2000 when I got this game. Now, in 2007 I'm still enjoying it. This
game is a classic that never gets old no matter how many times you play
it.
Graphics: 10/10
This game has great graphics. The frames are very smooth, not choppy at
all.
The themes are great too. The backgrounds really match up with the floor
patterns and has lots of colors.
Sounds: 9/10
The background music is great, but after listening to it for 15 minutes
you'll want to mute your TV. The sound effects are also pretty good.
Storyline: 7/10
In Monkey Ball 2, you learn that Dr. Badboon tries to take all the bananas
for himself and you have to get them back by beating his puzzles. Before
that game came out, many people probably thought, "Why the heck is a
monkey rolling around in a ball?"
Gameplay 10/10
The gameplay is amazing! The courses are greatly designed by AV. I wish AV
still made monkey ball games, because when they stopped, newer games like
Monkey Ball Adventure and Banana Blitz didn't turn out very well. In my
opinion, the order of levels were mixed up. ex, Expert level 7 out of 50
was harder than Master level 2 out of 10, but level design easily makes up
for that. It takes patience too because some levels take forever to beat.
Replayability: 10/10
This game is great no matter how many times you play it. There aren't any
secrets so the game is completely replayable.
Overall: 10/10
Thanks to SEGA and AV for making a unique game that people of any age can
enjoy. I played this game enough to be a pro that gets WR's for fastest
times. For fans, see what players can do if they keep at it.
