Battlezone 2
System: PC
Genre: RTS (Real Time Strategy)
Difficulty: Medium

The game is basically a war between the Humans or ISDF and the Aliens or the Scion. You will play as the ISDF at first, and later you will have the choice to be Scion or ISDF. (There is also a cheat to do this.) Eventually one side will overcome the other using a variety of weapons, units, and structures.

Graphics (9 / 10): The graphics were great for its time, although time does go on and graphics do change. The world textures are nice and pleasant for viewing, however if you edit the map things tend to get rather stretched. The ships are nicely done. They would have amazed you if you played the game a long time back. Weapons/battle technologies are done spectacularly. When you use of your cannons/guns/missiles/mortars/mines/specials they are done beautifully. They will amaze you. The only thing that bugs me with the graphics is the props. They are done horridly. They will disgust you. You can literally see each pixel of the giant trees that you can actually drive through, which is also a huge bug to me.

Sounds/Music (7 / 10): The Music was OK. It is great when you don't hear it over and over, which is what this game does. The sounds and battle effect sounds are horrid. They will drive insane, seeing as how they are played in repetition. Its like Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!...

Story (8/ 10): The game has an ok storyline. It could be better if they had more characters and if they added a couple more ships and weapons. You have a commander throughout the entire game, and you will be instructed to fulfill certain task. There is some betrayal and back-biting in this games, so whach out. Eventually you will play both the Scion and ISDF sides. This will help you learn the different unit's and weapon's strengths and weaknesses.

Gameplay (10 / 10): Gameplay is NICE. You get to drive around in different ships shooting up aliens and facing terrible defensive and offensive units. They Game isn't that long, however it should last you a day to 4 days, depending on how patient you are.

Replay Value (7 / 10): Once you play the single player campaign once, there isn't anything that will drive you to play it again. Although the campaign is over you can still do instant action which is fun for a warm up in the morning.

Online Multiplayer (6/10): It is far from fun. The people who are on the multiplayer missions are pure VETERNS. They kill you at every chance they get. Never allowing you anytime to do anything but gather weapons. It is far from fun, unless you are a Vet.

Overall (7.8 / 10): This game is great, minus the few bugs. If it were redone with today's graphics and re-diversed with today's sounds and music, it would be a huge hit, but it's not so it won't. It is worth playing just to say "I played it."
