Hello everyone, this review is on one of my favorite games of all time, the Action/RPG Star Ocean: The Second Story. It was made for the Sony Playstation and was very good for it's time. The battles were random like in any other RPG Shocked but don't turn it down just yet! The battles are action-packed and can be very entertaining.

Gameplay - 8.5
The best part of this game are the battles. They are fun to train literally hours for which is something I have never done in an RPG. The only downside of the gameplay is that you may get confused a few times as to where to go if you just started the game. Other than this small flaw the rest of the game won't disappoint.

Story - 8
I'll be the first to say that the story was no Final Fantasy 7 but it did the job. What's cool about the story is that depending on what you do you can get new characters and change the ending. Also getting new characters often leads to more side-quests that you can do if you'd like. Otherwise you can pass them too.

Sound - 8.5
I personally enjoyed the music to this game quite a bit. To a dark dungeon to the theme park it all fits very well. The sounds in battle can be a little repetitive at times but most of the time you won't even notice.

Variety - 10
This game aces variety with so much to do you'll never find yourself bored. Tournaments, Bunny Paces, Cooking Tournaments, Pick pocketing, Side-quests and that's just all icing on the cake. The main game also has allot of variety. there's always something to do or discover.

Replayability - 9
I found myself replaying this game over and over. This is one of those games that you may never grow tired of. After my 4th time of beating the game I decided to do it all over again because of all the nifty little secrets.

Overall - 9
This game really was (and still is!) a classic. I recommend it to ant RPG fan or Action game fan. You'll love it guaranteed.
