First you have to know how to do Falcon Crest. Equip the Material Blades on Lloyd and press A+B+X while his health is below 15%. He will bring out the Eternal Sword, jump and slash the enemy for over 20,000 damage. (Well it IS his ultimate attack)
The easiest way to prepare for the glitch is to kill Lloyd and revive him with Purgatory Seal so he'll die in one hit. Next fight an enemy who can use magic. Perform Falcon Crest so that a spell hits you as he gets the Eternal Sword in his hands. If you do it right he'll die and still have the Eternal Sword in his hands! Have the second player revive him. (spells won't work anymore and first player can't access the menu) Now you can fight the remainder of the battle with the Eternal Sword equipped!
