I knew by the time it was morning I would never see the light of day again.
With Alex gone, Mark lost, and myself separated from Samus. My gun was weak, my armor was
failing, the heart system breaking, I don't know if I could make it out. The ice was
gone, replaced with dirt.
Small, earthly creatures
crawled, scared. Nothing big really. My heart was sunk, and my mind wasn't set. I continued walking, slightly limping, the fall took too much out of me.
My radio was shattered, Alex was dead, and Alucard
hasn't been reached for 2 days, things were looking very grim.
I had one of two option; Turn back, and never see anyone of the crew again, or to continue the
bounty, and try to reunite with the remaining crew members. I took in a deep sigh & walked forward. I walked through endless tunnels until I reached a metallic room that was very alien to me. Shining Silver
walls, and a statue in the middle of it. It was carrying a smaller dragon statue.
I touched the dragon, and my gun pulsed. It shined a bright white then started to get very cold.
An ice beam! I shot it around a couple of times as I walked out. An orange blur swiftly shook me
by-passing down the tunnel.
"Samus?"
I called in which I turned to where she was running from. A tunnel dragon was crawling as fast as it could with blazing speed though obstructions, as it passed me by me i could feel the
ceiling and earth shaking violently.
I leapt back hitting the dirt. My ears were sent a screeching wave of static, my radio was working! I turned it on, looking for an open station.
Alex's was still on, and Alucard must have abandoned his
radio. Samus was broken and Marks seemed to have disappeared let out a big sigh, and started walking towards the tunnel (worms current
path) what's its purpose if only I could find Samus. I was in critical condition, so running wasn't one of my options, I had to walk.
I could still hear the demon crawling along,
I turned my scanner and radar off, so I wouldn't cave in the area from my radar's magnetism. I came to a fork one of
them, was shaking, looking ready to collapse. The other was just the opposite so
I scratched my head, and I looked at the normal tunnel. All the stalactites were
intact. The worms create these tunnels, so It had to have gone through the other tunnel.
Taking in a big gulp, I walked into the shaking tunnel. I turned on the almost broken
gun light, and walked freezing anything in my path.
Then I felt rocks hit my
shoulder, as I looked above me i could see the cavern was inclosing! My knees weakened as the ground below me started to fade away, and i could feel myself falling.
Before I hit the ground, I
felt a pair of arms catch me from what would have been certain death. My eyes were
blurring, as was sitting on the ground I saw the distinct outline of Samus in front
of me. She was trying to repair my heart system, but I quickly blacked out.
As I woke back up,
Samus was dragging me through some tunnels.
"S...Samus?" was all I could say as i was still weak from my
injuries. She looked over at me, smiled the said "Your awake". She must have been dragging me a while, my knees were dragging against the ground. "Just
let..me rest..here." I said in a slow mood. She set me down then smiled at me
again. "Don't get all flirty with me, remember we still have a mission to do.
I can't believe that both Alex, and Marks are missing. I figured they were a bit more professional than
that she didn't to seemed shocked, she just kept walking, dragging me along. A familiar voice came from behind.
"Alex! Samus!
Where have you been?!" Mark came rushing up behind us. He gave me a sarcastically
sad look "What happened to you, your body crap out on you?" He smirked feverishly. I raised my gun at him, and told him "My heart system failed". I knew my face was angry, and my voice was furious. My gun hung in front of him with no life, and he smiled as he smacked it down.
Mark walked ahead of us. She dropped me on accident, and I hit the ground i let out a grunting noise then looked up at her and said " butterfingers" unmoving she picked me back up and started dragging me again. Hours upon hours we took Marks insults, after what he said next I
couldn't take it.
"Your pathetic, Why don't you get up and walk freak. I mean it's not like your legs can't work weakling you should be thankful that
I didn't shoot you earlier your just dead cargo to us. "I leapt off of
Samus, and weakly stood on the ground, and shot him in the back. He fell to the ground and
couldn't get up.
"Why don't you
walk, freak?!" I shot him in the back again, cracking his armor. I just about fell to the ground when Samus caught
me. I used some of my strength to walk.
"You really should get off the ground you know?" After an hour or so I had the strength to walk. My armor had been scarred, my gun was weak, and all I had was pretty much carbine and ice
shots. When we reached a fork in the tunnel, I heard a distinct ringing behind us. It was more security drones flushing out from behind us, but this time there were hundreds of them!
"RUN!"
Samus shouted as we ran until we couldn't run any more. we cleared the fork, and
,and hurried past the rusty door slamming it behind us. We turned from the door into the blistering hot
chamber. There rested a demon, covered in lava. It rose it's head and let out a huge screeching roar.
"The Carsio!"
It was our bounty, the Carsio Demon a murderer, a planet destroyer and many other
names. It swung its massive fist at me, and I didn't jump out of the way in enough time. I was knocked against the
crumbling wall, and I slid down as I lost grip on my sight, and slipped into unconsciousness. (maybe add a dream sequence to
foreshadow something) It felt like an eternity before I woke up. When I regained focus I was stunned in the cavern. It has nearly been destroyed. My heart skipped a beat somehow the
demon, and Samus was gone. And all that was left was a giant gaping hole in the ground. They
must have fallen into the core.
I realized where I was, and at that moment knowing nearly our whole crew was dead or
wounded, I might not make it out of here. I gathered my courage and got up weakly. I dragged myself forward kicking a rock into the darkness. I didn't hear it hit anything, so taking in a deep breath I
leapt into the darkness, freefalling to the bottom of the darkness that had been
emanating from this pit. I was in Forsilias now, the lava region the core of it all. I was falling as fast as possible down to inside, and It was total darkness. I
didn't realize it when I blacked out, and hit the ground bouncing against the ground, and then laying there
unconscious.
