Chapter 5:
Ambush
"Drop your guns! Now!" One of the bounty hunters yelled, pointing his gun at
them.
"Damnit, a trap," Shannon said as she lowered her gun.
"Thats right, nice and easy. Now back away from them," the same bounty hunter
said. There was a sudden gunshot and a bullet bounced off a wall and hit the
bounty hunter.
"What the?!" A different bounty hunter said as he ran to some steps leading
up to a parking area. Another gunshot was heard and a bullet bounced off a wall
again and hit that bounty hunter.
"Shannon, this is our chance. Grab your gun and shoot," Rose said as she
grabbed her gun and shot one of the remaining bounty hunters at the same time as
Shannon.
Shannon and Rose walked to the steps. The man they had saw running appeared
at the top of the steps with a Minic 567 in one hand and a dagger in the other.
"You two okay?" He half yelled down to them.
"Yeah, thanks. Who are you?" Shannon replied.
"Name's John Simone. That rotten clan captured me a week ago. I had been
trying to escape, finally did thanks to what you four did... Hey, wasn't there
two guys with you?" John said stepping down the steps.
"I don't think it's much further, Billy. Hey look, some steps," Sirclois said
as he peaked around the corner at some steps and slowly walked up them.
"Finally we're out of that forsaken place. Now to find Shannon and Rose,"
Billy said to Sirclois. As they got to the top of the steps, Sirclois peeked
around the corner.
"There's two bounty hunters there with Nico R5s. Get ready to ambush them,"
Sirclois said as he got ready to jump out and shoot the unexpecting bounty
hunters.
"Now," he whispered, then jumped out and shot one in the head. Billy jumped
out and shot the other full of bullets.
"Good, now let's find Shannon and Rose," Sirclois said with a thumbs up as
they headed out the huge two door entrance.
They were now standing in a parking lot area with lots of cars and steps that
lead to a garden with a fountain in the middle. As Sirclois was looking around,
he saw the man they had seen running stepping down the steps, and Shannon and
Rose at the bottom of the steps.
"Hey, there's that guy and there's Shannon and Rose. Let's go see if they're
okay," Sirclois said hurrying towards the steps.
"Yes, but they stopped to fight those bounty hunters so we could get away.
Hopefully they didn't get themselves killed. My name is Shannon Fentes and this
is Rose Merda," Shannon said looking up the steps then she saw two men run up
behind John.
"Hey, what happened to y'all?" Sirclois said, looking down the steps at the
dead bounty hunters very surprised. John spun around and was about to point his
gun at Sirclois until he remembered that he was one of the men with Rose and
Shannon.
"Hello, my name is John Simone. Seems Shannon and Rose here almost got
recaptured, but I was able to put a stop to that," John said walking up to shake
Sirclois' hand.
"My name is Jack Hamdrin, and this is Bill Bezna. It's good to hear you're
not one of those bounty hunters," Sirclois said shaking his hand.
"Ha! Me, one of them, there's a good joke you kn-" John was cut off as three
people stepped out of the place Billy and Sirclois had just came from.
"Oh look, the fools made a foolish friend," Demon said laughing his demonic
laugh.
"All the more to receive death," Death said pulling his Zaurus B out and
checking its ammo.
"Sirclois, oh how long it's been. Time to finish off what I started so long
ago," the third man said walking out of the two giant doors, He wore a mask that
looked like it was the face of some monster.
"T-t-that's Soul Eater, their leader. He is one of the deadliest people in
this virtual world," John said, trying not to be afraid.
"His name is Jack, not Sirclois. He just looks like his brother," Shannon
yelled at Soul Eater.
"Oh, thats what he told you is it?" Soul Eater said with a chuckle.
"Lets just finish this, shall we?" Demon said turning to Soul Eater.
"Alright, you can have the boy that almost got you last time. Death, You take
the other man. I will take Sirclois and the bounty hunters that are coming can
handle the two girls," Soul Eater said pulling out his two Iron Kodachi.
"Shannon, you and Rose get a car ready so we can get away," Sirclois said
pulling out his sword and dashing at Soul Eater.
"H-h-here goes," John said dashing with his dagger at Death, then dashing out
of the way of his bullets and shooting at him with his Minic 567.
"Time I finished you off once and for all, Demon," Billy said pulling out his
Raptor 50 and rolling behind a car, peeking out and shooting at Demon.
Shannon and Rose nodded and ran to a car. Luckily most bounty hunters are
stupid enough to leave their keys in their car with it unlocked. Rose and
Shannon jumped in the car, Rose turned the keys to start it. Nothing. She tried
again, still nothing.
"This is bad... Let's try these keys on one of the other cars of the same
model that are locked," Rose said as she got out and dodged bullets as she ran
at a car that looked like the same model.
Meanwhile, John had shot Death in the arm but Death was still standing strong
against him. John dashed up to try and finish Death off and he turned around and
shot John in the leg. He screamed and fell down.
"Looks like this is the end for you," Death said as he walked up and pointed
his gun at John's head.
Billy had snuck around the car when Demon was reloading, he snuck up and
stabbed him in the back with his dagger.
"Now I have finally finished you off. Now you return to hell," Billy said as
he walked away from Demon's corpse. He turned and saw Death about to kill John.
"No!" Billy yelled as he aimed at Death and fired his gun
Billy hit Death right in his arm, he screamed as he dropped his gun and fled.
"You alright, John?" Billy said as he walked up.
"Rrrgh... I can't walk, he shot me in the leg," John said as he tried to get
up but fell down.
Sirclois deflected both of Soul Eater's swords and slashed at him, but he
quickly blocked. Sirclois dashed away, then jumped and dashed straight at Soul
Eater and held his sword above his head.
Soul Eater barely jumped out of the way in time, his mask was cut in two and
fell to the ground.
"My mask, damn you. You won't escape my army of bounty hunters," Soul Eater
said as he quickly turned and ran. Sirclois ran over to Billy and John.
"You two alright?" Sirclois asked.
"I'm fine, but John has been shot in the leg," Billy said as he pointed to
John's leg.
Rose unlocked the door, got in the car, turned the key and it didn't start.
She tried again, nothing again. She looked out the window and saw bounty hunters
coming out of a door. She looked back at the steering wheel, turned the key
again and it started.
"Shannon, get Jack, Billy and John, I got it started," Rose said as she
turned the car around. She guessed those huge doors were the way out.
Shannon ran up to Jack and Billy standing near John, then looked at his leg.
"Oh my, your leg John. Billy, Jack, help him into the car that's moving. Rose
got it started. Hurry, there's bounty hunters coming," Shannon said as she ran
back to the car and jumped in.
"Help me carry him Billy," Sirclois said as he put one of John's arms around
his neck Billy nodded and put the other arm around his neck. They hurried to the
back of the car and jumped in.
"Here goes," Rose said as she rammed through the huge doors, then through a
gate that lead out.
"We made it," Shannon said smiling.
As Sirclois sat in the back, he thought about Soul Eater's face. It looked
familiar. He then heard a voice screaming from the prison.
"I will kill you Sirclois, and finish what I started with my clan so long
ago!" It was Soul Eater's voice and he seemed very angry. Sirclois also noticed
the voice was familar. But from where, he couldn't remember. He just sat back
and closed his eyes.
